Centre CAP facilities can accomodate up to 30 volunteers : this allows to conduct both long and short term studies.

Premises

CCTV system ensures the security of both volunteers/patients and the respect of all conditions requested by the protocol. All rooms are air-conditioned and offer TV, VCR and ensuite shower facilities.

Medical equipment

• - Cardiac monitoring : telemetry systems permanently control the participants'cardiac activity and the ECGs can be transmitted every day via the Internet - one person is entirely dedicated to this task
• - Various biological parameters are also available on line
• - Portable oximeters to monitor blood oxygen level at a given time
• - Portable electrocardiographs
• - Emergency car, defibrillator, suction unit
• - Oxygen can be supplied in most rooms, in case of emergency.

Technical device

• 
• - Ultra low temperature freezers (to -20°C and to -80°C) under permanent control : their temperature is checked every 15 mns, 24 hours a day and any abnormal change is immediately reported. The computer program also enables temperature curbs to be printed
• - Centrifuges programmable according to the protocol parameters
• - A scanner for sample tracking
• - Precision scales

• - Laminar air flow cabinet.
